Process Engineer – Innovations Team for R&D Projects 1st, December, 2020 Position Available Join our Innovations Team, working on cutting edge R&D Projects and be a part of our investment in meaningful and sustainable work, which is driving the evolution of the glass industry and renewable manufacturing. Industry experience may be beneficial, but we would also welcome hearing from exceptional graduates. A degree qualification in a STEM subject is essential. Core Responsibilities: Oversee new and existing processes and workflows, with a focus on innovation and continuous improvement;Develop and communicate project objectives by reviewing project proposals and plans; Identify and determine project responsibilities, phases and elements; Determine project specifications, considering performance standards and stakeholder requirements and expectations; Actively contribute to the oversight, planning, control and completion of technical studies and experiments;Control the project plan, schedule and costs; Data analysis and report writing, including written, oral, actual and virtual communication and demonstration;Ability to recommend actions and determine outputs, summarising information and trends;Maintaining a safe and clean working environment, working always with a ‘safety first’ ethos; Sharing best practice and being a value added team contributor;Conduct risk assessments and develop SOP’s; Carry out chemical and mechanical design engineer activities as necessitated by the business. Desirable Skills: Strong attention to detail; Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to adapt to the needs of your peers and stakeholders; Proven ability to identify, assess and solve problems; Ability to work confidently and competently both independently and as part of a team; Have a great awareness, understanding and respect for health and safety, preferably with a vocational qualification to support this, e.g. IOSH; Be a proactive person with the drive to succeed and show up without direct supervision.
