Business Development Associate 14th, January, 2022 Position Filled – No Agencies Please Glass Futures is a not-for-profit research and technology organisation that operates a subscription-based membership model, to carry out collaborative cutting-edge research in glass manufacturing and sustainability, made possible by a significant private and public sector investment of over £50m+ over the coming years. We are seeking a new Business Development Associate to join our diverse team of thought leaders, helping to grow and manage the global membership base of large multi-national companies which span the entire glass supply chain. This person must have the ability to attract and retain global customers through strong relationship building, to enable the company to generate revenue from its activities, which is driving a research revolution of the glass industry. This role will provide the key point of contact between the innovations team and members, and will help define and drive strategic activities to grow the membership base and ensure the needs of current members are fulfilled, by providing world-class customer service. The role can be technical and complex, but training & support will be provided for candidates with a demonstrated commitment to personal and professional development. An existing technical competency in a STEM subject would be advantageous, especially applied within either sustainability and/ or manufacturing sectors. Core Responsibilities Fluently communicate the company vision, mission, values, strategy and scope of technical projects to a wide range of stakeholdersDefine revenue based strategic goals and follow through actions to ensure the organisation hits targetsDrive revenue generating membership activities, listening to the needs of the customer and ensuring membership needs are being responded too in order to deliver a world-class client, stakeholder and member experienceOwn revenue based KPIs and report regularly on progress, making thoughtful recommendations for future business, helping to shape the direction of revenue generating activitiesOversee and administer all account management activities for the glass supply chain, including global manufacturers, brands, retailers, public sector bodies and other private companiesResponsible for management and effective use of CRM systemResponsible for all relevant paperwork and administration around revenue generating activities, ensuring timely processing of information in relation to individuals and customersProcessing of information including technical information from external bodies and effectively delivering the information internally across the organisationConfidently understand and communicate the following items in a summary fashion, including being able to answer basic technicalities around these important aspects: IP Policies, Confidentiality, Annual subscription fees and billing periods, Memorandum of Understanding, Benefits of working with a research group, Benefits of grant funding projects.
